Therapy for Women in San Antonio & texas
Anxiety, Trauma, Life Transitions, stress & Burnout, EMDR
helping women release what’s holding them back so they can love their life again.
You may be here because something inside you feels off, heavy, or unsettled—even if you can’t fully explain why. You may find yourself reacting to life rather than responding. Old wounds may surface unexpectedly, relationship patterns repeat despite your efforts, or anxiety and emotional exhaustion—driven by perfectionism, self-doubt, or a critical inner voice—make it hard to feel grounded. Life transitions such as new roles, endings, or shifts you didn’t anticipate can leave you feeling unsteady or disconnected from yourself.
In quieter moments, your thoughts loop, memories return, worry ramps up, or loneliness settles in, and you may find yourself wondering why certain things still hurt or why it’s so hard to feel at ease. It’s exhausting. You may struggle to remember the last time you felt balanced, at ease, or truly connected to your life. You’re ready for something to change, but unsure where to begin—or tired of carrying it alone.
I help women in San Antonio and across Texas—professionals, mothers, students, and single adults—navigate anxiety, unresolved trauma, stress, and major life transitions so they can interrupt old patterns and feel more at home in their lives.
Hi, I’m Laura Bowling
I’m a licensed therapist in San Antonio providing therapy for women across Texas, both in person and through online counseling.
Using a thoughtful, collaborative approach that often includes EMDR therapy, I help women make sense of lingering patterns and responses to past experiences so they can feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
Many women come to therapy knowing something isn’t working anymore, even if they can’t fully explain why.
At the core of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely heard and supported—while also being gently challenged to grow. I balance warmth, honesty, and encouragement with thoughtful guidance to help you gain insight and create real, lasting change.
Therapy with me is supportive, honest, and grounded. Feeling safe, understood, and respected in the therapy relationship matters deeply to me, and I work at a pace that honors your experiences while still moving toward progress.
No judgment. No pressure to “fix” yourself. Just steady, meaningful work to help you feel calmer, stronger, and more at home in your life.
You Might Notice
I can’t turn my brain off, and my mind is exhausted from anxiety, worrying and overthinking conversations, scenarios, and what-ifs.
The past still has a hold on me, even though it’s over.
Little things set me off, and I hate how I react.
I don’t know how to navigate expectations around roles, career, or relationships.
I feel pressured to say “yes” to too many things and always end up giving more than I get.
I feel powerless and can’t make a decision, afraid I’ll repeat old patterns and unsure how to change.
